FOR (Friends of Reconciliation, Inc.) is a faith-based nonprofit organization.
FOR is based in Pontiac, Michigan
land we launched our mission to
help America reach racial reconciliation
through personal growth on March 4, 2019!
FOR has successfully worked with the mayor of Pontiac, MI along with its City Council,
to deem each March 4th as a holiday for citizens to “March Forth” towards racial healing and reconciliation, and we humbly rejoice as we lead the nation in celebrating
the new established National
March Forth Racial Healing and Reconciliation Christian Holiday,
submitted by our Founder, Alicea Joy Davis!
We are committed to perpetually aid the Detroit Metropolitan community and America
in personal inner healing and racial reconciliation through social skills training, community events
and the creative arts all year round.
Change the narrative, change the nation!
We will positively change the racial narrative in our local community and nation by redirecting the conversation towards the goal of healing while aiding others in personal development that builds trust and fosters unity.
Our goal is use the creative arts and faith based social skills training to raise a standard of unity in people from diverse backgrounds throughout our communities and our country. As we achieve racial reconciliation, we seek to see a vast improvement the areas in which our society is affected by a lack of social trust between ethnicities. When more Americans have a standard of brotherhood and sisterhood towards each citizen, we foresee a dramatic decrease in the number of racial injustices and disparities. Last but certainly not least, we would live up to our name as the United States of America.
